17 December 2019 - Panto time at Goldilocks and the Three Bears

The Eastbournian Society's final theatre outing of the year was to see Goldilocks and the Three Bears on Tuesday 17 December.

The London Palladium's annual pantomime is always a firm favourite with society members, and around 60 of them went along to see the matinee.

With the theatre transformed into a sensational circus, there were plenty of hair-raising stunts, riotous comedy routines and extraordinary special effects with an all-star cast including Paul O'Grady, Julian Clary, Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers, Gary Wilmot and Matt Baker.

We normally arrange a group photo of all the ES members who went along, but only a few of them managed to brave the rain long enough for this shot!

5 December 2019 - Top 100 listing for Identity, run by Michael Gietzen (Reeves 2001-03)

Identity, the company which specialises in live events, conferences and exhibitions, has joined the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 list, which ranks the UK's private companies with the fastest growing sales over the last three years.

The company, whose MD is Michael Gietzen (Reeves 2001-03), is ranked no 90 in the list, and has seen an annual sales rise over three years of 45.7%.

It is headquartered in Westham, near Eastbourne, and employs over 80 people. Michael told the Eastbourne Herald: 'It is their hard work and immense talent, combined with a massive investment in our facilities over the last number of years that has provided us with the in-house ability to deliver every aspect of a show-stopping event for our clients.'

Directors from the company have now been invited to an awards dinner at Virgin Atlantic boss Richard Branson's family home in Oxfordshire in May.

As well as working with global blue chip companies, Identity has also worked on international summits and conferences, including the London NATO conference which took place this week.
