Spurred on by a lifetime of Eastbourne College education, OE and current teacher Peter Fellows tells the story of how his thirst for adventure was quenched by his trip to the Arctic, and how it became so much more.
After school, Peter read biomedical sciences at the University of Southampton. He then taught at Bancroft's School in Essex for four years before returning to the College to join the Biology Department.
He has always taken a keen interest in adventure and the outdoors and has been in involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award for 20 years. As well as mountain biking and swimming, Peter has recently started the Leadership, Awards and Personal Development (LAPD) programme for sixth form pupils.
His talk is fully illustrated.
The event starts at 6.00pm with a glass of fizz to celebrate the coronation (and some posh nibbles) before Peter takes us into a world of adventure and derring-do.
Please let John Thornley know if you wish to join us (jt@eastbourne-college.co.uk or 01323 452314).
