It sounds complicated and risky, but join us for tea and posh sandwiches and listen to the College's debater-in-residence outline what cryptocurrency is. He will explain how it fairs against how gold fairs, and will look into the need for regulation and draw the comparisons between the merits of cryptocurrency and gold. He will also look at the positive and negative impacts on society. By the end of his talk, with time for questions, we will have a better understanding of whether cryptocurrency is worth its weight in gold. We will also be joined on Zoom by College governor James Fok who has done some work in this area with the current US Securities and Exchange Chair Gary Gensler when he was professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
This is part of a series of tea parties with a different theme each time.
And all for just £10.
