The incomparable Sheridan Smith returns to the stage in the world premiere of Opening Night, a new musical featuring music and lyrics by Rufus Wainwright, one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of his generation, alongside book and direction by Tony and Olivier award-winner Ivo van Hove.

Based on John Cassavetes' legendary film, Opening Night follows a theatre company's preparations to stage a major new play on Broadway. But drama ignites behind the scenes when their leading lady is rocked by tragedy, and her personal turmoil forces everybody to deliver the performance of their lives.

This beautifully rich new musical premieres at London's Gielgud Theatre for a strictly limited run from 6 March 2024.

The ten tickets we reserved in the dress circle at £55 (reduced from £85) have now been taken. If you'd like to join us then please contact jt@eastbourne-college.co.uk; we may be able to buy some more nearby now at £65 each.
