Join us for an enlightening pupil-led presentation.
Seven of our current sixth form pupils, guided by Peter Fellows (Powell 1993–98), current teacher of biology, and head of leadership, awards and personal development, embarked on an unforgettable journey to KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, accompanied by Angus Wingfield (School House 1984–88).
During their time there, they participated in giraffe conservation, animal tracking, river adventures, bush walks, historic tours, and community engagement activities such as volunteering at an orphanage and local school.
This expedition wasn't just about excitement. It provided a platform for self-reflection and personal growth. And funds raised were used for the improvement of these communities.
The presentation will talk about the pupils’ remarkable experiences, both physically and mentally, and highlight the transformative impact which this type of expedition can have.
The drinks reception starts at 6.00pm in the Birley Centre foyer, and the talk begins at 6.30pm in the Jenifer Winn Auditorium (please enter from the Carlisle Road entrance).
There is no cost for this event.
