Join us for an evening of South African wine tasting with Nigel Strofton (Gonville 1955-59 ) who has been in the wine trade all his working life by starting in the family wine business in St Albans in April 1960.
The wines of South Africa caught his imagination over 30 years ago when Nelson Mandela walked to freedom, and Nigel keeps going back to South Africa to taste the latest vintage.
Nigel will be hosting the evening and giving lots of viticultural vignettes and stories gathered over many years.
A sparkling wine will be served at the reception followed by a rosé, a white wine, a red wine and with a fortified wine to finish. Snacks will be served along side each wine. Tickets are £19 each.
Wine will also be available to buy.
