From 5.00pm in the Birley Centre, the Eastbournian Society warmly invites you to the launch exhibition for this year’s ES Art Auction following the success of last year’s inaugural event, which raised over £4,000 for the Blue Sky Bursaries Appeal. Please see below for details of how to enter.
Join us to view a selection of remarkable works donated by pupils, local artists and celebrities.
Enjoy early bidding opportunities, meet some of the artists and savour champagne and our chef’s signature canapés.
And then, from 6.00pm, the Visual Arts Department invites you to the Casson Art School to view an exciting exhibition of GCSE, A-level and scholarship work by art, photography and textiles pupils.
The event is free but, for catering purposes please register below.
ES Art Auction: Whether you prefer to sketch with charcoal, blend with oils, or even create art from textiles, we would love for you to enter. Pieces must be no larger than A5 (14.8cm by 21cm) in size, and all we require is your name and contact details (year group and house for pupils). We have some good quality cardstock templates that can handle a multitude of mediums, that can be collected from the Art Department, ES Office, or College Reception. We are also able to send these out by post, and we are happy to collect artworks in the local area or, if you are further afield, send a pre-paid envelope for you to send your piece back in, as we are keeping entry to this year's Art Auction completely free.
Deadline for entries is Friday 5 June, and bidding will open on Friday 12 June at our launch event in the Birley Centre.
If you are interested in entering a piece into the auction, please do get in touch at es@eastbourne-college.co.uk
