We are delighted that two OEs are joining us for the legal networking event, each covering different areas of the law.
Nick Berry (Gonville 1994-99) is an experienced and accomplished specialist criminal barrister.
Instructed for the defence and prosecution in the full range of serious cases in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal including murder, non-fatal violence, rape and other serious sexual offences, large-scale conspiracies involving drug sale and importation, firearm offences, and armed robberies. He has developed an expertise dealing with young or otherwise vulnerable clients and witnesses, and those with mental health issues.
Charlie Weller (Blackwater 1982-86) is a partner at Reed Smith, a global law firm with 35 offices around the world. He has over 30 years' experience as a disputes and commercial lawyer in shipping and commodities trading, and his work includes cases that have reached the Supreme Court. His international clients include shipowners, charterers, commodities traders, shipbuilders, underwriters, shipping and trade finance banks, and private equity investors. His practice covers advice to and representation of clients on disputes relating to charterparties and the carriage of cargo, international sale of goods, war, sanctions, piracy, ship casualties, marine insurance claims, ship sale and purchase, shipbuilding and superyacht building, ship finance work outs, shareholder issues, and ship management. He has been a partner for 28 years.
This event is part of the ES’s networking programme where current pupils have the opportunity to meet OEs and others who are experienced in careers which they are exploring.

Your tickets will be displayed. The first ticket is for you as the host. As your details have already been registered, you do not have to enter them again. The only names you have to enter here are those of your guests, if you have any. For example:
Enter Guest 2 details: This is the second ticket you have booked. Please enter the name of the first of your guests. If you know the email of your guest, please enter it here. Otherwise leave it blank.
Enter Guest 3 details: This is the third ticket you have booked. Please enter the name of the second of your guests. If you know the email of your guest, please enter it here. Otherwise leave it blank.
