We welcomed back some 130 OAs, former staff and other guests at our annual reunion at St Andrew's Prep on Saturday 10 October when we were able to celebrate the 50th anniversary since girls were first admitted to the school in 1976.
It was fitting that our guest of honour was Cheryl Pinch who has been associated with the school for the last five decades since her appointment as the first head of girls games.
Among our guests were alumni representatives covering a span of over 80 years, from the 1940s to the present day.
Also attending were two previous headmasters, Hugh Davies-Jones and Jeremy Griffith, as well as the first girls houseparents, Peter and Charlotte Erskine. Some OAs had flown in from places as far afield as Crete, Switzerland and the USA.
After a service in Chapel, there was a buffet lunch in the Durlacher Gym followed by tours of the school.
It was a wonderful gathering where old friends were reunited and able to catch up on the intervening decades.
