The OE Golf Society (OEGS) held a fun evening of urban golf at Smithfield in London on Wednesday 25 January.

Sixteen OEs turned up, the majority under the age of 30. Three bays had been booked, each for two hours. Emma Garrett, Development Director, came along and made a very good attempt at playing Spyglass Hill GC in California. Emma said: 'I think my technique needs attention! However, it was a great night with some delightful Eastbournians and I look forward to the next one - with more women please!'

The OEGS covered the cost of the golf and quite a percentage of the drinks consumed. Harry Rimmer (Craig 1999-2004) is to be congratulated for managing this event, which they hope to repeat sometime next winter.

The OEGS was founded in 1932 and exists to encourage male and female Old Eastbournians and current and former parents and staff to play and enjoy the game of golf in the company of their fellow alumni and members of the Eastbournian Society. You can find more details about how to join at their website: https://oegolf.uk.
