The Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) is presenting An Evening with Johnny Mercer MP (Pennell 1995-2000), Minister of State for Veterans' Affairs.
Johnny is the MP for Plymouth Moor View, and is a former British Army officer, having started at RMA Sandhurst in 2001. Disappointed by the treatment of soldiers and veterans, he stood for and was elected to Parliament in 2015 and became Minister for Veterans' Affairs in July 2022. He resigned in September that year and was reappointed in October. He is responsible for the creation of the Veterans' Mobility Fund.
Johnny will talk about his army career and journey into politics, in what will be a very entertaining evening. Mrs Felicity Mercer will also be attending and will join in a question-and-answer session.
Tickets cost £69 per person and include a welcome drink, three-course dinner and coffee. The evening starts at 6.45pm with dinner from 7.30-11.00pm. The bar will remain open until 12.00am.
