One Man’s Dream of the NHS tells the extraordinary story of Aneurin ‘Nye’ Bevan, the Welsh politician who, though never Prime Minister, is widely regarded as the person who had the greatest influence on shaping modern Britain through his role in founding the NHS.

Confronted with death, Nye's memories take him on a surreal journey back through his life—tracing his childhood, his time working in the mines, his tenure in Parliament, and his fierce battles with Churchill. This powerful piece weaves together a poignant Welsh fantasia, celebrating the life and legacy of the man who transformed the nation’s welfare state.
