Global Horizons Business Breakfasts at Eastbourne College

Looking forward to 2026, we are excited to announce that our speaker for our January event is Daniel Mahoney, UK Economist for Handelsbanken and Deputy to the UK Chief Economist. 

January's event will be the third in our new series of high-impact networking breakfasts designed for senior leaders and decision-makers across Eastbourne's business and professional community. Held in the Dining Hall of Eastbourne College, these events offer a unique opportunity to share best practice, exchange updates and strengthen connections between local businesses and the College's wider network, including parents of pupils at Eastbourne College and St Andrew's Prep. 

Each breakfast features a high-calibre guest speaker, offering insights into leadership, innovation and the evolving business landscape.

Venue: Eastbourne College Dining Hall

Cost: £15/ head - all profits go to our Blue Sky Bursaries Appeal

Speaker: 

Daniel is UK Economist for Handelsbanken and acts as Deputy to the UK Chief Economist. He regularly addresses Handelsbanken’s client network at events across the UK and appears on numerous media outlets, while also working with both UK and Swedish colleagues. Prior to joining Handelsbanken UK, Daniel worked for a number of politicians – including Nigel Lawson and Amber Rudd – and was Head of Economic Research at the Centre for Policy Studies, a Westminster-based think tank, where he acted as the public spokesman for the organisation. He has also represented major employers in the UK, previously being a Programme Director for Economy and Infrastructure at the Business Group BusinessLDN. Throughout his career, Daniel has published research and spoken to various media outlets on a wide range of economic policy areas.
