The Eastbournian Society hosts a series of networking events. The focus for this one was to bring together those working in, or with an interest in, the banking, broking, payments, asset management and wealth sectors.

Our guest speakers for the evening were:

Ian Henley (Gonville 1970-75) who has worked in various capacities in the financial sector since leaving Cambridge University. He is the chair of the Eastbournian Society, married to an OE and two of his children, two brothers and a brother-in law were all educated at the College.

Mike Lawrence who has two sons at the College and has been an advisor to professionals in the City for 25 years. He focused partly on the different options available and how it all works from an insider perspective.

Hosted by Darren Meek (PwC partner) (Blackwater 1982-87) at PwC, More London Riverside in a room overlooking Tower Bridge, we welcomed 12 current Lower Sixth pupils and some 25 OEs and other friends of the Eastbournian Society. As always, there was a buzz of activity throughout the evening and all benefited hugely from the interchange, particularly the younger attendees who were able to arrange folllow-up meetings..
