Pictured are some of the group who joined our visit to see William Nicholson’s beloved and moving true story of the life-changing relationship of Narnia-writer CS Lewis (Hugh Bonneville) with American poet Joy Davidman (Maggie Siff). And we were able to catch up with cast member OE Giles Taylor (Gonville 1981-86) after the show.
Originally a sell-out production at Chichester Festival Theatre, Rachel Kavanaugh's stylish production lends the story the vital aura of a restless, soulful quest, as Dominic Cavendish said in his review in The Telegraph.
It was much appreciated by more than 20 of the Eastbournian Society community who are already lookng forward to future theatre trips.
