It was a beautiful day for a rare opportunity to view this fine private English classic car collection owned by OE Jack Henley.
Jack was at St Andrew's Prep and then the College (Pennell) between 1948 and 1956. His large collection of classic items includes 30 classic cars (the oldest is from 1935), from Aston Martins to Jaguars, from 15 Bentleys to two Rolls Royces and lots more.
He is a remarkable person who built up a very successful haulage business called Henley Transport. Also, while doing that, he put together several significant collections ranging from his classic cars to fountain pens, postcards, toy cars, trucks, juke boxes, wurlitzers and, for any horologists, he also has some classic clocks to view.
A group of some 30 were able to enjoy a leisurely guided tour and many stayed for a picnic to add to the bucolic setting.
Our very grateful thanks to Jack who kindly suggested that any contributions for the visit should go towards the Blue Sky Bursaries Appeal.
