Eastbourne College is delighted to announce the celebration of the 75th anniversary of its Combined Cadets Force (CCF), a longstanding tradition that has been a vital part of the institution's heritage since 1948. The college's commitment to the CCF dates back to 1896 when it was established as the Eastbourne College Cadet Corps, and today, it stands as one of the largest CCF contingents in the South East.

With a current roster of just over 300 enthusiastic cadets, the Eastbourne College CCF is renowned for its comprehensive programs, engaging activities, and a dedicated team of more than 15 staff members who work diligently to provide an exciting and varied experience for the cadets.

Each week, cadets participate in a wide range of activities, including field days and a four-day camp that allows them to hone their skills and foster camaraderie. Additionally, the CCF offers optional overnight tactics and various military-based courses conducted across the country.

The highlight of this remarkable journey will be a special celebration dinner scheduled to take place at the House of Lords on Friday, 2 February 2024. This gala event promises to be a fitting tribute to the CCF's history and the countless individuals who have contributed to its success over the past 75 years.

To be a part of this memorable occasion, all alumni, parents, and well-wishers are encouraged to book their place at the celebration dinner. You can secure your place here.

The 75th anniversary of the Eastbourne College CCF is a testament to the enduring spirit of commitment, discipline, and leadership that has been fostered within the cadets, shaping them into responsible and capable citizens. This celebration at the House of Lords is not only a commemoration of the past but also a reflection of the bright future that the CCF continues to inspire in the cadets of Eastbourne College.
