Eastbourne Parliamentary Hustings

Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce has announced a hustings of Prospective Parliamentary Candidates (PPCs) standing in the Eastbourne Constituency, which will be held at the Birley Centre on Monday 1 July.

The hustings is a non-selective hustings, which means that all PPCs for Eastbourne will be invited to participate. It is open to the general public and is free to attend. It is a valuable opportunity to see the candidates talk ahead of the General Election on Thursday 4 July.

Audience allocation is on a first-come, first-served basis, and you must book if you would like to attend. Please click here to book.

Doors open at 4.30pm and there will be a welcome at 5.00pm by Headmaster Tom Lawson. The hustings will then commence and each candidate will have a maximum of three minutes to introduce themselves and share their knowledge and experience. After introductions there will be about 60 minutes Q&A. Questions will be pre-arranged from the audience and the host will ask all or some of the candidates to respond. The questions will not be shared in advance. 

The audience will be made up of local business people, students and residents. After the Q&A there will be a 30-minute period of networking and soft drinks will be provided.
