The College's annual Foundation Day welcomed members of the College's legacy club, the Devonshire Society, along with other benefactors and supporters. The day started with a service when the Chamber Choir were on top form and where we gave thanks to our various benefactors over the years. We also had the opportunity to bless the school's new hymn books being used for the first time. These are the brainchild of recently retired Chairman of Governors Philip Broadley (Wargrave 1974-79) who also funded the project. (See pictures in the media gallery also featuring St Andrew's Prep Deputy Head Paul Shouksmith (right) with the copy of the St Andrew's Prep version.) Then followed a reception in the Warren Atrium, followed by a convivial lunch in the Christopher Kirk-Greene function rooms after a welcome address from the headmaster. The guest speaker was Sam Kiley (aka Sam Kiley-Worthington) (Craig 1978-83), now the renowned journalist and author, known for his work as a foreign correspondent covering conflicts and international issues and who has reported for major news outlets, providing in-depth insights into global events. Sam spoke movingly about his time at the College as the recipient of a bursary without which he would not have been able to benefit from a College education. Sam is pictured in the media gallery with Lower Sixth Craig pupils who have recently been appointed school prefects: Wilf M (head of Craig next year) and Nate C.
