The College was well represented at the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards presentation on Friday 19 May.
Current Upper Sixth pupils Abi Perry (School) and Karam Al-Robaie (Reeves), along with OEs Lucy Ritson (Nugent 2016-18), Sapphyre Mills Kennelly (Nugent & Watt 2017-22) and Emily May (Arnold & Watt 2017-22) were all there, and we congratulate them on their achievements.
The celebrations, attended by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, took place in the Buckingham Palace garden, which was transformed into a festival-style celebration for young people and their loved ones, with giant deckchairs, bunting, and garden games and activities. Attendees had the chance to hear from famous DofE Award holders, sporting legends and international adventurers, and pick up career advice from actors, presenters, authors and entrepreneurs,
Lucy commented: 'It was such a special day and and it was fab to celebrate an achievement that I am very proud of. Since starting my career, I have been fortunate to work with The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in a small capacity and it has been lovely to see the genuine passion all involved have for the award. It is a fantastic opportunity for all young people to get involved in and I am proud and excited to now as part of the alumni community and get involved in this side of the award.'
