Christmas Cards Featuring Special Artwork from Local Artists

This year, we are delighted to feature two unique designs for our Christmas cards, created by talented local artists to represent both Eastbourne College and St Andrew's Prep.

The design for Eastbourne College comes from the celebrated artist Robert Tavener, whose work was recently showcased at the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne. The image, drawn and painted by Tavener, was generously donated to the College by his daughter, Mary MacAlister (OE, Nugent 1974-76), through Emma Mason’s Eastbourne gallery. We are truly grateful for this beautiful contribution, which captures the festive spirit and artistic legacy of the area.

For St Andrew's Prep, the Christmas card design was painted especially for the Eastbournian Society by Andrew John, a former art teacher at St Andrew’s. Andrew’s artwork perfectly encapsulates the warmth and joy of the season, making it a fitting representation for the school.

Both designs highlight the connection between art, tradition, and the Eastbournian community, and we are proud to share them as part of this year’s holiday celebrations.
