Another successful curry lunch

On Sunday 22 October the College helped to host the second Curry Lunch with and in support of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. This has become an annual event which is much anticipated and, this year, some 180 diners enjoyed a real feast prepared and served by the College caterers Holroyd Howe.

A fine silver statuette of a mounted soldier from the Boer War, loaned by The Royal Sussex Regiment, was on display.

With professional auctioneer Roger Dakin on hand, and raffle prizes galore, along with very generous curry-lovers, the event was able to make contributions to the ABF and also to the Eastbourne College Bursaries Fund, which gives financial assistance to young people who would otherwise not be able to attend the school.

Members of the Eastbourne College Cadet Force and their instructor provided valuable help and an impressive military presence throughout the event.
