Business Lunch 2022

ES members gathered on Friday 14 October at The Clarence, Whitehall, for an enjoyable two-course lunch which continued well into the afternoon.

Michael Gietzen (Reeves 2001-03) spoke candidly about the challenges his events company, Identity, has faced in recent years. He also spoke about their recent successes, including running the G7 summit and COP26.

Some attendees had also changed careers recently; in particular, it was heartwarming to hear that John Capaldi (Craig 1974-79), after a long career in the City, was so enjoying a return to his talented roots, as a pianist, by teaching piano to prep school aged youngsters. 

The lunch proved beneficial for all in attendance for networking and new business opportunities. It was felt that the lunch could take place more frequently than once a year, so we are now looking into organising a repeat event in Spring 2023.
