Bob Kirtley

We are saddened to announce the death on 29 November at the age of 82 of Bob Kirtley, who taught chemistry at the College from 1965 to 1995. Many OEs will remember Bob as a coach for athletics, rugby, PE and basketball; he was also master-in-charge of the athletics club for over 20 years. Other outdoor activities included involvement with the CCF and responsibility for running mountaineering expeditions.

As well as teaching at the College, Bob was also involved in community activities in Eastbourne, including a stint as the town's deputy mayor in 1992-93.
