'A Night of Music and Dancing'

For this year's annual dinner, we look forward to welcoming you back to the fabulous Grand Hotel on Eastbourne's seafront, where we will be honouring Brigadier Anthony Lamb after almost 28 years' service to Eastbourne College.
Anthony has devoted more than 30 years to the cadet movement, including two decades as Contingent Commander of the Eastbourne College CCF.
In 2007, he took leave from Gonville to serve as a reservist on Operation TELIC in Iraq. In 2016, he was appointed Deputy Lord Lieutenant for East Sussex, representing the Monarch at official engagements across the county. The following year, he was awarded an MBE — presented by the now King — in recognition of his outstanding service to the cadet movement.
In 2022 came perhaps the greatest honour of all: promotion to Brigadier and appointment as the MOD’s National Head of Youth and Cadets. In this role, he oversees 120,000 cadets, 27,000 volunteers, and budgets of many millions of pounds. He now leaves the College to continue this important work full-time, responsible for leading the implementation of the Strategic Defence Review across the cadet forces.

Welcome drinks, sponsored by Rathfinny Wine Estate, will be served in the Cocktail Lounge, alongside jazz music from some of our music scholars.
Later on, after dinner in the Compton Room, dance through the evening to The Criminal Records Soul Band with special guests Joel White and Rufus Stone.
