Ex Oriente Salus was the centenary history of Eastbourne College, written by Vin Allom, and published in 1967.
After many hours of work, Old Eastbournian David Atkins (Gonville 1949-54), who was a volunteer in the College archives for a number of years, has completed an 89-page booklet charting the history of the College from 1967 to 2017.
Entitled Eastbourne College: The Third Fifty Years, it should be considered as a companion piece to Vin Allom’s earlier book.
Our grateful thanks go to David for his time in both researching the material and compiling the publication, and also to Pat Larkin, another former archives volunteer, for typing up the manuscript.
Hard copies are available by contacting the College Archives at archives@eastbourne-college.co.uk or on 01323 451901.
