An intrepid group of more than 30 potential legal experts met outside Temple underground station where clerk of the court and group leader john Thornley split them into two groups to meet their respective blue badge guides. Both legally trained and with a wealth of experience of dealing with unruly groups, they were perfect for making sure that we all kept up as we wandered through the Inns of Court while paying attention to the fascinating story behind the scenes. The many questions were answered often with a personal amusing anecdote from their own experience, and the architecture and history of the area were revealed as we rounded every corner. Super guides and incredibly interesting to listen to sums up the many comments received afterwards. What has become the ES’s annual London walk (started way back in the mists of time) lives on so watch out for the next one and come and join us.
