The ES office never rest. Fresh from a bumper Speech Day when the Blue Sky Bursaries Appeal was launched with the first public showing to all those gathered in the Congress Theatre of our Caffè Sospeso film, the ES team were out about with its summer programme including a visit to the West End. Some 30 of us joined a packed London Palladium audience to enjoy the highly acclaimed performance of Hello, Dolly! with Imelda Staunton in the lead role.
The exuberant revival of this brilliantly feel-good musical with its timeless score was the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Such was the demand for tickets that the team leader ended up in the gods (see main picture for proof), and just a little worried about the behaviour of the rest of the group, luxuriously seated way below.
But ye of little faith… All was well and the consensus was that it was truly a terrific show and to be recommended.
