Leah Hallinon, a first-year MMus student at the prestigious Royal College of Music, recently had the honour of performing at 10 Downing Street. Leah, who is studying for her Master's degree, was invited to showcase her talents at an exclusive event held on 9 October where she played Debussy's Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp, a piece which she has performed extensively at college. Leah admitted to feeling a bit apprehensive before the performance. ‘I was a little nervous as I knew the Prime Minister plays the flute!’, she said with a smile. In addition to performing, an opportunity to chat with the leaders of the country over a glass of champagne made it a true evening to remember.
